Hi Everyone
Please be patient. I am trying to fix the photos on the blog but the internet is very slow here in the airport and we are leaving in a few minutes for the islands. I hope to get the pictures fixed tonight.
Hi ms gerharz were still in math class and we want to keep in contact have fun well see you soomn have a good thanksgiving ps. lots of people are bloging and yesterday we bloged so much one of my teachers noticed it was from this math class bbbbbbbbbbbbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeee
Answers to your quesions: The tortoises don't move very fast - about as fast as you walk. But they have to stop and rest pretty often. The large males can get up to about 500 pounds. The weather is much cooler than I expected. Even though we are on the equator it is about 50 degrees F at night and around 65- 80 (if the sun is shining) during the day. It's cool on the islands because of the Pacific currents in the ocean and it's cool in Quito because of the elevation. The water was quite cool and I had to wear a wet suit and keep moving or I would get very cold. I did not touch a tortoise because people are strictly forbidden from touching any of the animals. Tortoises do not attack humans so no reason to be afraid of them.
these pictures look great! and it looks sunny and warm where you are...we are having slightly different weather here! ;)
